The history of the shipHMS Victory (1765) - 104-gun ship of the line of the first rank of the Royal Navy.
Laid down on 23 July 1759, launched on may 7, 1765. Participated in many naval battles, including the battle of Trafalgar, during which time on Board was fatally wounded Admiral Nelson.
After 1812 did not participate in the fighting, and from 12 January 1922, is permanently docked in the oldest seaside dock in Portsmouth.
