Battery cyclones BC are used to clean flue gases from solid
particles of dust and ash formed in the combustion process of solid
fuel. During operation of solid fuel boilers the products of combustion
are converted to solid fly ash particles of different dispersion, 90% of which
deposited on the walls of flues. Part of the fine coal emissions is shown in
the surrounding atmosphere.
The release capacity of ash from the furnace is
an important technical necessity, by
trapping devices. The use of battery cyclones prevents
the emission of fine ash particles, so they are equipped with almost
all modern boiler houses operating on solid fuel.
In
depending on the type of furnaces and the planned volume of production of heat in
ball furnaces may include various types of ash
cleaners.
They are divided according to the following criteria:
- the number of cyclone elements;
- terms cleaning;
- the nominal capacity of solid-fuel equipment, for which the cyclone is designed.
The working principle is based on the action of gravitational and centrifugal forces in resulted in the deposition of fine solid ash particles on the walls of the hopper drive.
Spiral rotation of the gas contributes to the tangential flow in the battery cyclones with speeds up to 25 m/s, which contributes to the rapid removal of small fine ash of heating equipment. Small diameter cyclones conducive to more complete capture of flue gases.
