Vortex flowmeters the digitalYEWFLO series is an intelligent flow sensors, designed to measure volumetric flow of liquid, steam or gas.
Embedded software digitalYEWFLO allows for stored process parameters to convert volumetric flow to mass or normalized, as well as to introduce a correction for Reynolds number in the region of low costs and a correction for the compressibility of gases.
In a series of flowmeter digitalYEWFLO uses a unique digital electronics use was developed by company YOKOGAWA technology spectral signal processing SSP. Due to this, the meter continuously analyzes the vibration, the working environment and using this data and automatically adjusts the processing modes of the signal and informs about the emergency regimes of flow and vibration, if any.

The principle of operation of vortex flowmeter
In the principle of any vortex meter is a widely known natural phenomenon — the formation of vortices behind the obstacle standing in the way of flow. At speeds environment above a certain limit, the vortices form a regular path, called the path of the Pocket. The frequency of vortex shedding in this case is directly proportional to the flow velocity.
In the range of Reynolds numbers from 2х104 to 7х106 the coefficient of proportionality between the frequency of vortex shedding and flow rate is almost independent of the Reynolds number. This allows vortex flowmeter with good accuracy to measure the flow rate regardless of the type of environment.
The main advantages of vortex flowmeters: the linear output signal, a wide dynamic measuring range, small pressure loss, the simplicity and reliability of operation.
