Sapwood is nearly white, of a width of about three inches. Color of Mature wood from Golden-brown with black streaks to black. Over time, significantly darkens. The core of wenge dark brown, with frequent thin veins, giving the wood a beautiful view. The grain is straight. The structure is large. Wenge wood is heavy, stable, characterized by high resistance to bending and impact loads. Very durable, strong and dense wood. Easily handled, but polished with difficulty. It contains many mineral and oily substances, which hinders their processing and, in particular, the varnish coating. To prevent the formation of cracks is mandatory drilling holes for nails and screws. It is not recommended the use of varnishes, adhesives, primers and water based
