Our germicidal lamps have been successfully used for effective sterilization in water treatment plants, food industry, beverage industry, medical equipment, heating systems, air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation systems in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and electronic industries. In addition, they are used for disinfection of potable, waste, and artesian water.
The action of UV radiation
Bactericidal activity based on cell killing pathogenic organisms with ultraviolet rays in the wavelength range 200-300 nm. This phenomenon is used for disinfection of liquids, air and gases from various microorganisms, yeasts and mold fungi, bacteria and viruses.
Germicidal mercury low pressure lamp Light Sources and LightTech is designed so that approximately 90% of the energy of all UV radiation has a wavelength of 253.7 nm.
This peak radiation is very close to the peak maximum efficiency of bactericidal action of radiation 265 nm, which is particularly detrimental effect on microorganisms.
The effect of ozone
Germicidal lamps type "VH" along with radiation in the range of 253.7 nm release and peak radiation length of 185 nm, which is rapidly generates the formation of ozone in the air. Ozone is a very active oxidizing agent that kills germs and eliminates odors. Together with the ozone penetrates into places that are screened for UV radiation.
To create different concentrations of ozone are produced by germicidal lamps with ozone the effect of various sizes. Typical applications lamp type "VH" is an ultraviolet air purification, swimming and hydrotherapy pools.
