Percarbonate sodium

Sodium percarbonate is a chemical compound, cristalleria carbonate sodium and hydrogen peroxide.

Chemical formula: Na2CO3 × 1,5Н2О2. Sodium percarbonate is a white granules with no odor, good soluble in water. Percarbonate sodium belongs to the class of peroxide compounds and is a compound of hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate.

Temperature melting point - 140°C (with decomposition).

Density - 2.144 g/cm3.

Get percarbonate sodium by crystallization from an aqueous solution of Na2CO3 and H2O2(concentration in the solution should not be less than 2%) or irrigation of dry Na2CO3концентрированным a solution of H2O2, followed by drying at 40-60°C

Apply percarbonate sodium mainly as the bleaching reagent in the textile, chemical and other industries industry in the form of individual drug or in compositions, as well as in as a bleaching additive in the composition of synthetic detergents, for oxidation dyes and desizing of fabrics like disinfectant, antibacterial and decontaminate tool for disinfection of surfaces in premises, rigid furniture, surfaces of apparatus, appliances and sanitary equipment in case of bacterial (except tuberculosis) and viral infections, in hospitals, communal facilities (hotels, dormitories), day-care centres, public catering establishments and in the home.

Advantages:
- high content active oxygen;
- environmental purity. The decomposition of sodium percarbonate stand out products not causing environmental pollution: water, soda and oxygen; it is one of the most environmentally friendly bleaches. Does not contain chlorine;
good solubility in water;
- low temperature activation of the bleaching process ~50°C, and is especially effective for low-temperature washing (because it does not require the use of an activator whitening);
- fully rinse;
not destroys the fabric refreshing color;
- has disinfectant action.
