Lignosulfonate sodium
Lignosulphonates technical are natural water-soluble sulfo derivative of lignin. It is a mixture of various salts (in mainly sodium) lignosulfonic acids with abundant admixture of the reducing and minerals. Are anionic surfactants (Surfactant). Come in liquid or powdered form: liquid - homogeneous viscous liquid dark brown powder - powder light brown to dark brown.
The viscosity of solutions of lignosulfonate depends on the nature of the cation and temperature and a strong viscosity reduction is observed when 20-40° C. a Concentrated solution of lignosulfonate at 100-120° C - very viscous slow-moving product, at 20° C - solid monolith.
Lignosulphonates produced from lignin (a natural polymer located between the cells of wood and gives strength and elasticity to the wood fibers), method of processing wood solutions hydrosulfite alkali metals at 140° C with subsequent by evaporation desugared sulfite liquor and produced in the form of liquid and solid concentrates containing 50-92% by weight of solids.
Application of technical lignosulfonates.
In the foundry they are used as
the binder material in the manufacture of moulding and core mixtures at
cast iron, steel and non-ferrous castings, additives for anti-freeze paints.
In chemical industry they are used in
the production of pesticides, seed treatments, chemical means of protection
plants.
In the construction industry lignosulphonates
apply:
- as a plasticizer of concrete and cement;
- as a diluent of cement raw material
sludge in cement production wet method to reduce humidity slala;
as plastifying and bonding
material in the production of drywall sheets, plywood, particle Board and
drevesno-fibrous plates;
- as a corrective additive in the production of
clay gravel;
- as a binder of enhanced water resistance
for dust control and soil stabilization in road construction and
transport workings in the mine.
In the oil industry lignosulphonates
apply:
- when drilling oil and gas wells,
as a reagent for regulating the basic parameters of drilling fluids;
- as a component of gel forming systems
for regulating filtration flows and limiting water inflow in the processes
enhance oil recovery;
- when granulating technical carbon and
porous fillers made from powder, granular materials, charges;
when agglomeration of ferrous metal ores and
briquetting fine coal fractions and specific coke, briquettes
silicoaluminate.
Lignosulphonates are used in the production
synthetic tanning agents, their use as a source of raw materials and
of the dispersant and used as a dressing material for tools
cellulose-containing bases in textile industry.
