With inorganic and organic bases forms salts. Oxidized by peroxides in the N-oxide. In a wide pH range: forms stable complexes with cations of metals. PH (1% solution at 20°C) not more than 2. Mass fraction of main substance in dried technical product, %, not less than 98. Phosphorous acid (PO3), % not more than 1.5
In the oil industry as regulator of physical-chemical properties of drilling and cement slurries, an inhibitor to prevent scaling in the processes of oil production; in construction as a retarder of setting time of concrete mixtures in the production of monolithic and precast concrete; in the heat as inhibitor scale in various heat exchangers; pulp and paper industry in the process of bleaching pulp at the stage of chelatchie. The use of NTF acid and its salts as the active principle in inhibitors deposition of sulfate and carbonate salts allows to completely prevent scaling in the wells and heat exchanger installations thermochemical dehydration and desalting of crude oil. During drilling NTF acid effectively reduces the viscosity of the natural clay solutions, remaining stable for a long time.
