Description:
The device is a cylindrical brass vessel with a handle and three holes, two of which are located along the generatrix of the cylinder (the passport - side holes), and the third in the centre of the base (bottom hole).
Purpose:
Mug Navy used to determine the viscosity of a dispersion of polyvinyl acetate homopolymer coarse GOST 18992-80.
Testing
Viscosity standard mug Navy determined at (20±2)°C. the Dispersion stir, pour a full Cup, raised it, and observe the level of dispersion. When the level of dispersion in the circle will fall and will open upper side opening, include a stopwatch. The stopwatch is stopped at the moment when the level of dispersion reaches the lower side of the hole. For an indication of the viscosity take the time to expiration variance from the top to the bottom of the hole circles, expressed in seconds. For the test result arithmetic mean of three parallel measurements, we assume the difference between them should not exceed 10%.
