Hexacyanoferrate(III), potassium (genesisintermedia potassium, potassium ferricyanide[1], hexacyanoferrate potassium) is a complex compound of trivalent iron K3[Fe(CN)6].
Component tinting, bleaching, strengthening, weakening solutions in photography, the electrolyte in gematronik devices, a component of the electrolyte in electroplating, the reagent for the detection of Fe2+ (see above), Li+ Sn2+, and also as a strong oxidizer.
In soil science is used for the qualitative detection gleyed salts (ferrous iron).
