Lead nitrate(II) (lead dinitrate) is an inorganic chemical compound with the chemical formula Pb (NO3)2. In the normal state is colorless crystals or white powder. It is soluble in water.
Application
Dinitrate lead is used as feedstock in the production of most other lead compounds.
Dinitrate lead is used as an inhibitor of nylon polymers and other polyesters, in coatings photothermographic paper, and as Tiida
In laboratory practice lead dinitrate is used as a convenient and reliable source of dinitrogen tetroxide.
