Foundry graphite cryptocrystalline is a solid gray color from dark gray to black. To the touch oily and perfectly gets dirty. Graphite has the ability to stick to solid surfaces, creating a thin film by rubbing the solid.
Graphite has a low coefficient of thermal expansion and therefore is resistant to temperature changes, there is a decisive factor for its application as an auxiliary material in metal, cast iron and steel industry - wherever work surfaces shall be protected from direct exposure to the molten metal. An important property is the fully restored wettability metals and neutral slags and its strength at high temperatures.
Used in foundry and metallurgical production to cover the working surfaces of molds and cores, the manufacture of castings for metallurgical production. There are three grades of graphite foundry cryptocrystalline: RTU-1, RTU-2, RTU-3.
