Seeds of winter barley of the Old Selena

Listed in the State register of plant varieties of Ukraine since 2006.

Recommended for all growing zones. Well adapted to arid conditions of southern Ukraine.

ECONOMIC FEATURES: The variety is typically a winter. Wintering, frost resistance is high enough (7 points), on level grade Manas.

The grain harvest in the competitive variety trial made 75-111 kg/ha.

Enough drought-resistant, srednestan to lodging (6-7 points), tall (100-110 cm). Resistance to the black stone and the smut is quite high (7-8 points), transferred from the grade jaú Kabatak; to listoftables disease - 5-6 points.

It tillers well and it grows well in the spring with the defeat of the foliage by frost. Early maturing, even more precocious in 1-2 days from varieties Manas.

APPROBATION CHARACTERISTICS: The variety pallidum.

Spike six-row, medium length (6-8 cm), sparse (13 segments 4 cm spike stud), unbreakable, rectangular in shape with the transition at the top of the diamond, light yellow.

Spine long, slightly jagged, slightly spreading, thin, elastic, yellow, during the grain formation, the tips of the anthocyanin-dyed. Spikelet scales long narrow, without hairs. Floral scales are wrinkled, the venation well defined, weakly jagged nerves, the awn transition gradual. The main bristle grain of the felt. Bush polarizibility. Leaf glabrous, intermediate, green with slightly bloom in the period of tillering.

Large grain, for winter barley, yellow, elongated. The mass of 1000 grains to 45.5-47.6 per g. of the varieties of winter barley grain is the largest.
